I have a question about welding different damascus pieces together (kind of a patch-work) mosaic billet and making a knife. I have a small 220 volt lincoln arc welder and some 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8" welding rods. Is it possible to take some different smaller pieces of damascus scraps in varying shapes but essentially same thickness....then grind the welds down for a small to medium billet, and make a type of patch-work damascus knife......or will the small welds not hold up or will show up badly. I have never tried it, and I would like an honest opinion?????
